Kohl’s Textiles

I was selected to be a Kohl’s textiles artist intern while I was still in art school. Normally only offered to illustration majors, my design sensibility and drawing abilities made me a stand out candidate for the gig. As an intern, I was able to flex my conceptual muscle as I made textile patterns and artwork for all genders, ages, and even homeware. I even introduced more complex hand-lettering/typographic-centered artwork that the team had only just started exploring.

Working at Kohl’s felt like Project Runway at the best and worst of times (that’s when my inner Tim Gunn came in handy.) I loved this role and at the end of my internship, I had successfully sold-in various designs that made it to stores and online for the public to buy! Werk!
